Elaine Ryan is an Irish-Canadian singer-songwriter based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before the pandemic she earned her living performing regularly for weddings and events. In March 2020 she took measures to preserve her sanity during a stretch of projected long-term, pandemic-induced unemployment. She set up a vocal booth in her bedroom and joined a songwriting accountability group. She's written a song every week throughout the pandemic and has no intention of giving up the habit. In addition to her artist project, she also writes for a vintage soul project (https://www.instagram.com/rollbacksmusic/) and is a member of the feminist pop duo, JELAINA (https://www.instagram.com/jelainamusic/). Born in Ireland and raised in Vancouver, Canada, she's had the opportunity to tour Canada and the US and play a few shows in Europe. She has released two full-length albums, an EP and several singles. More recently she has started networking in the sync licensing world and landed her first placement in an Amazon Fashion ad in December. Last March she was commissioned to write a song for the non-profit get-out-the-vote campaign Vote Like a Woman.
